Job and money

For the outside world IT is one of the most lucrative fields of employment. I think its getting out of proportions recently. As the year goes, it seems like people have begun to suit themselves to this industry. But the question is are they really interested in doing things here?. Having taken part in a recent recruitment drive gave me an opportunity to do some people sampling. Most of the candidates were interested in things like "Designation", "Gym Availability","Transport" and things like that. Not to mention the queries regarding compensation and salary structure. No one seemed to be bothered about the nature of work and several other things in that line. The salary figures quoted will infact drive a guy from Stanford/MIT crazy. If compensated as per the quote we can see hell lot of these guys doing space travels very soon. I think the engineering institutions should pitch in by providing a better environment where things can be collaborated. right from the start of their professional courses students should be interacting with professionals in this industry. Otherwise we will have a bunch of guys with good physique(Thanks to company Gym). Thats it. Nothing beyond that.
